Our Heritage

Pastor Thomas Breese founded Crestwood Christian Center (then New Life Pentecostal Assembly) in 1982 when he felt God's calling to ministry.  We first opened our doors to the Blue Island community in a storefront location.

As a result of God's faithfulness, the church began to reach the lost in the area.  Through corporate prayer and fasting, the congregation grew out of the storefront and felt God's leading to step out in faith and expand their worship center.  Our church was able to purchase land in Crestwood with a small church. Here God continued to increase and our church grew.

As we began to reach the Crestwood community, God continued to bless and move within our congregation.  Our church continued to grow and we soon outgrew the small church building we had been blessed with.  In 1993 we demolished the old building and built a larger, more modern sanctuary and classrooms.

As recently as 2007 the church took another step forward in faith and completed the construction of a fellowship hall, kitchen facility, offices and classrooms to support our growing ministry needs. Here we continue to see God's hand on our ministries and pray for the continued opportunity to reach those who desire to a deeper relationship with Him.
